Astier de Villatte

One of my favorite shops in Paris is Astier de Villatte, on rue Saint-Honoré. From their workshop near the Bastille, which once housed Napoleon´s silversmith, Astier de Villatte make the most exquisitely, beautiful dinnerware. Each piece is hand-made with milky, white glaze, which is deliberately made to look imperfect on the surface. I´m still kicking myself for not bringing some of their stuff back from my last trip to Paris and look forward to the day when I WILL use some of their pieces for a food styling shoot. Astier de Villatte dinnerware is regularly featured in Elle a table magazine, one of my favorite magazines on food and wine.
